About Me/ Company

I am an easy-going and sociable person, and always listen to people and help them, inspiring people’s confidence and trust. I therefore enjoy team work.

I love animals, having always been around them. There has always been cats and dogs at home, and I even have a horse. I love Nature and walking in the mountain.

Animal welfare is very important to me. I treat every animal according to its needs, because I know that each animal is different and so needs different care.

Being from Spain I arrived in London a few weeks ago with the main intention of improving my English.

I love animals and enjoy being with them. I have experience with dogs and cats because in Spain I worked lots of years for different animal protection societies. I am also a horse riding monitor, and, as mentioned, have my own horse back home.

Previous Experience

I have experience as a dog walker and dog/cat sitter from a very early age
Loving animals, I worked for different Animal Protection Societies. One of my duties was to take care of dogs and walked them, either one or a group at a time, depending on the day and the number of available volunteers. Other duties included cleaning their beds, plots and feeding them. With the cats, my duties in the Animal Protection Societies were cleaning their beds, plots and accompanying them.

Teacher of Riding for different Schools of Riding
Main Duties:

Practical and theoretical lessons for people of all ages, from 5 to 60 year olds.
Care for the horses, their welfare, health and hygiene.
Care for the other animals of the Centers like dogs and cats.

Qualifications & Training

April 2012 - Monographic course about the Iberian wolf at “Centro de Naturaleza Cañada del Real” (Madrid, Spain). Course 3 days duration that has two parts: one theoretical and other practical. The theoretical part is about life and behaviour of the Iberian wolf in wild life. The teaching practice was with a group of wolves; observing them and their behaviour.

2012- Master’s in Animal Rights in ‘Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona’ (Barcelona, Spain)
I am currently writing my Thesis about “Protection of Wolves in Catalonia”, for a Master’s Degree. This course is a specialization program for professionals, whose goal is to educate other experts in professions related to animals, from a comparative juridical and practice perspective, while taking into account the needs of the global society.

Some of the Master’s lectures that I think are important for this kind of jobs (Dog walking/ animal sitter) were:
- Dog and cat care at home, medical aspects and legal aspects:
Quality of life of animals, identification, sterilization, preventive medicine, zoonoses, abuse, neglect, “animal hoarding”.
Evidence-based medicine, the humanitarian operation clinic, pain management, critical limits in animals and terminals euthanasia.

Relevant Info

I have available during the week Monday to Friday from 10am to 15pm, and evenings from 6pm to 8pm. (In Finchley). And weekends available all day (Finchley, Central London).
