I have always loved animals from an early age - we had dogs, rabbits, fish, budgies, a cat, tortoise, mouse and even some chickens when I was growing up, and I would often walk dogs for neighbours, family friends and relatives.

Previous Experience

I have around 30 years experience of living with rescued German Shepherds, and helping them over their issues to be become loved and happy dogs again. When I adopted 7 year old German Shepherd Barney he was very fearful of people and other dogs, so after helping him through his fears with a behaviourist, I began taking him once a week (for almost a year) with a local dog walker to help him socialise. While Barney was out having fun with his dog pals and getting the exercise he needed, I was helping to walk them and gaining valuable dog handling experience.

I hold certificates in dog walking, pet sitting, dog care, animal psychology and first aid for animals.
