About Me/ Company

My name is Lucia, and I am 19 years old. I live in Gorgie in Edinburgh with my boyfriend. I have been around and loved animals my whole life, especially dogs and horses. I currently own a horse, 4 rats, 2 mice and a bearded dragon, and in the past I have owned a dog, a cat, hamsters, tropical fish, gerbils and a rabbit. When I left school I immediately began working full time at a horse riding centre, my main duties were looking after all the horses, mucking out stables, instructing and helping out in lessons, I was also in charge of a young team of helpers etc. I then left the yard to study Equines at Oatridge College at ANC level, since then I have worked for Homefundraising, a company which raises awareness for many well known charities. I also worked in a Spar shop and I am currently looking for work at the moment.

Previous Experience

During my time at school I often walked neighbours and family friends dogs, these ranged from Labs and Collies to Shih Tzus. The yard I worked at had four dogs (two jack russells and two spaniels) I spent a lot of time with these dogs, most days I took them out for walks to the fields and I was involved in their general care. I took on a young collie puppy from a friend for a few months as he had no where to go, he was quite aggressive at the start however even though he was only with me for a few months before before I found him a lovely family home in Aberdeenshire, his traineing was coming on in leaps and bounds and he was becoming a pleasure to have. I have always loved dogs however was unable to own one earlier on as my parents didn't allow dogs in their home.

Qualifications & Training

I have achieved Credit, General and Foundation levels in the following; Art and Design, Biology, Craft and Design, English, French, History, Maths, Modern Studies.
I also achieved several qualifications at Oatridge College including mane and tail plaiting and trimming and others.
