About Me/ Company

Hi, my name is Lizzie, I'm 22 and currently studying part time. My course is mainly independent study which means I'm flexible to work alongside it.
I have grown up around dogs of all kinds my whole life - my family have had everything from spaniels to rotweillers and now we currently are loving owners to 2 clumsy and adorable lurchers which we rescued from the RSPCA. There's scoobie (seen in my profile picture) who is the big hearted softie that makes even the non dog lover's heart melt, and then there's poppy who despite having only 3 legs is the feisty and rather mischievous character! Having moved away from the family home in Wiltshire to London for my studies, I've found myself missing my daily walks and playtime with the dogs, which is why I am seeking work in this field.

Previous Experience

As mentioned in my About Me, I have spent my entire life since birth around dogs - my family hone has never been without at least one! I have been walking and exercising dogs practically since I could walk myself, alongside all the other daily routines such as feeding, grooming (and let's face it, cuddles). I've had big dogs and small dogs and I can honestly say I've never really met a dog I haven't liked.
As previously mentioned, my family's 2 lurchers are rescue dogs and there were some initial problems with our female poppy who still deals with some anxiety now, which can manifest into confrontation when in the field with other dogs and even some people. We believe this is due to her extreme abuse in her previous home and while she may never fully recover, I have spent much time with her training her to relax and get used to visitors in our home. She is so much better than when we first got her and I believe this has given me confidence to work with more difficult dogs. Not a lot fazes me these days! Additionally I am fit and agile enough to keep up with even the most active of dogs!
