About Me/ Company

I am a retired school teacher living on the borders of South East London and Kent. I have my own transport which includes two dog cages in my van. I am willing to travel to Kent, Surrey, Essex and London and further afield for overnight and/or holiday sitting.
I have owned dogs for the past 30 years includingYorkshire Terriers, CKCS, Border Collies, Springer Spaniels and Working Cockers.
I completed two years of a BSc degree course at Bishop Burton College for Canine Behaviour and Training.
I have been involved in Search & Rescue work with my Border Collie for a number of years and am currently training my Working Cocker for gundog work.
I am reliable, trustworthy and hard working. I am very well organised and in good health. I am a qualified first aider.

Previous Experience

I am used to working with a range of dogs as I have run my own dog training classes for pet dog owners for obedience training.
I have participated in agility training and competing and am a qualified trainer and agility judge.
I have been involved in Search and Rescue work with my Border Collie for a number of years and was called out by the emergency services on a number of occasions to help them look for missing/vulnerable people.
In addition to the search and rescue work I was a Special Constable in the Metropolitan Police.

Other Services

I am willing to undertake any kind of work involving dogs including Kennel Assistant.
I would also be willing to teach pet obedience following the Kennel Clubs Good Citizen Dog Scheme Awards and Companion work.
I could also teach basic agility/body awareness sessions.
