About Me/ Company

Hi there. My name is Lee, age 35 and I have lived in the Sheffield 6 area all my life. I have just recently moved back to Stannington where I feel most at home. I have grown up with animals all my life. I have mainly had border collies when living with my parents which have always been full of energy and needing a good long walk. I currently have 2 kids (little monkeys) aged 9 & 11, who like me love animals. My eldest Holly has already planned her future to have 4 dogs and 2 cats when she moves out. No room for a man it sounds like :-)

I am currently an Underwriter working for Aviva (was Norwich Union when I started 15 year ago). I work assessing peoples medical history of upto 100+ pages we get from your GP surgery for Life and Critical Illness cover. I have now decided to come out of the office game and do what I love the most, which is being outdoors with animals. Life is too short and recent losses have given me the push I need to just take the plunge. I want to put all my efforts I currently spend putting back and helping other animal lovers.

I have a love of all animals, from big to small. I have rescued various unwell animals on my walks such as hedgehogs, rabbits, birds, down to the very tiny. Over my time I have had lots of animals myself. This includes the small such as mice, rats, hamsters, to the bigger animals like dogs (including smaller dogs such as a papillon, chihuahua and a pug), plus the inbetween such as cats, reptiles etc.

I want to do a job, not for the money, but for the enjoyment. I am finally in my forever home, my kids are getting too fast to an independent age, so now is as good a time as any, to concentrate on a job I love, rather than a job that pays well. I want something fun and exciting to get up for in the morning for a job.

I currently do not have any experience for this specific role other than cat sitting and dog sitting for my friends and family, but I have a wealth of knowledge and experience with a vast array of different animals. I have no idea of prices and such currently, but feel free to get in touch with me and we can discuss your needs and requirements and a reasonable price.
