About Me/ Company

My name is Laura Freeman, im 20 years old and have studied all breeds of animals for 4 years at college. I love animals in particular friendly dogs. I don't like viscous dogs.

Previous Experience

I have worked with dogs everyday for most of my life as I have two lovely dogs. A Labrador and a west hi land terrier. I have groomed dogs at college and walked dogs. I have also looked after friends dogs before while they have been away.

Work Experience at Holly House Veterinary Surgery:

While I was at the vets I got to contribute to helping the vets throughout their consulting. I cleaned out kennels and walked some of the dogs that were in for treatment. I stood through a lot of consultations with different vets. I also got involved with scoping a dog and watched the operation on its stomach.

Qualifications & Training

Reaseheath College Animal Management:
2010-2012- I completed a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management. The tutors selected me as the ‘Pets at Home’ student of the year. Some of the modules that I studied as part of the course include Biology, Health, Training, farm livestock, breeding and genetics, dog grooming and many more. For my research project I studied the effects of intensive and non intensive herd management of the welfare of dairy cows. I finished this course with three distinction stars.
