King of Hounds is a professional canine care service for your beloved friend, offering a full range of care services. We appreciate that your dog is an important member of your family and we understand how life can be busy and how difficult it can be to juggle the demands of running a home or a career as well as dealing with the daily needs of your much loved friend.

We are located in Downham Essex, covering a wide location including Billericay, Great Burstead, Ramsden Heath, Runwell, Wickford and Basildon. Contact us for further details.

We aim to tailor make a care plan that meets both your needs together with those of your dog, giving you total peace of mind.

Previous Experience

King of Hounds is a professional dog walking and care company for your beloved friend. Run by myself, Liz. I previously worked in London for 14 years as a head-hunter but decided to give up the corporate existence to enjoy something more fulfilling.

My passion for dogs goes back as far as I can remember, as a teenager I had the responsibility of caring for the family’s 3 dogs while my parents held down full-time jobs, this involved walking them each day before and after school and caring for their needs for many years.

I have owned dogs all through my adult life and never stop learning from them each day. I have completed a canine first aid course and I am CRB checked. I am also studying Canine Behaviour and hope to have completed the course by the end of November. Presently, my partner and I are the proud owners of two lively terriers, who often join in on group walks and are a very good introduction for a new member to feel at ease.
