About Me/ Company

I cover Leicester and the surrounding areas. I have a Bsc degree in Animal Welfare, where my first dissertation was about canine intelligence, with a particular focus on terrier breeds. Whilst studying for my degree, I focused on canine behaviour and training both inside and outside of uni. I have attended the “Career as a Dog Trainer” course ran by the IMDT, and I’m now working towards the four day practical dog training course with an aim to gain IMDT membership. I have worked informally, helping out friends and family with their doggy problems for a couple of years, and have finally decided that dog training is my passion. I have a West Highland Terrier, a rescue Chihuahua cross, and a rescue Saluki-type lurcher, showing that i’m not particularly fussy about the breeds I love; anything with a tail is good as far as i’m concerned! The rest of my time, I work for a charity that helps to save dog’s lives by providing blood for those that need emergency transfusions, just like the human blood bank! I love all animals and enjoy clicker training my bearded dragons, but dogs are definitely my passion. I consider dog training one of the most important aspects of owning and working with dogs, as training is all about communicating with your pet and learning to bond. If you and your pet can communicate with each other, that bond will be strengthened. To me, positive training is the only way to communicate with your pet.
