About Me/ Company

Hello, I am a veterinary nurse-turned student who will be studying Primary Education at Roehampton University from September 2013. I am looking for part time work after lectures on weekdays (from about 3pm) & weekends where I can do what I love - walk your dogs!
At home I normally walk my two dogs - a border collie and saluki x lurcher - every day as a means of escape as well as exercise. I would definitely say dog walking is one of my main hobbies.

Unfortunately for my first year I will not have a car so will only be available throughout the Roehampton, London area.

Previous Experience

I have been brought up in a strong animal environment as both of my parents are veterinary surgeons who own their own practice. We've had dogs for as long as I remember as well as cats, guinea pigs, horses and even chickens!
I've worked at a veterinary practice since I was 14 years old and in my gap year was employed as a full time veterinary nurse, caring for dogs from the miniscule puppies to the gigantic great danes. Due to working at a vets I have come into contact with dogs of all shapes and sizes, breeds and temperments - from those who love the vets to those who really, really do not want to be there! I have experience holding animals, medicating animals, caring for animals when they're under anaesthetic and taking care of their owners if the prognosis isn't the best news in the world.
I have loved every minute working at a vets which is why I am so keen to continue my interaction with dogs whilst I am at university.
