About Me/ Company

My name is Kate Phillips and I am 17 years old and I am currently doing A-levels which include biology, sociology and art. In the future I would like to go to university to do an animal behaviour course as I would like to be a guide dog trainer when I am older. I feel that dog walking will give me the experience and handling I need as I do not currently have a dog of my own. I live in London/Essex and study monday to friday 8:30-3:30 with Wednesdays and Thurdays finishing at 12:30. I am also avaiable at the weekends. I would love this opportunity as I love dogs and long walks and believe that I am very good at looking after animals.

Previous Experience

I currently volunteer at a guide dog centre where I am a kennel assistant. I help out once a week and my job is to look after the dogs by grooming, feeding, washing and playing with the dogs. I love volunteering there has it gives me experience and I love working with animals.

Other Services

I have also done work experience at a Vetrinary Sugery for 2 weeks which I helped to look after the sick animals and got to watch operations. I enjoyed my work experience as I got to learn about sick and injured animals and how to care for them. I have also volunteered at a care home for the elderly where I helped by making tea and chatting to them. I enjoyed it as I was able to keep the elderly people happy and enterained.
