About Me/ Company
I am currently a live in Au Pair in Fulham, London since moving to the UK mid-April. It is a short term position as I will be moving to York mid-May.
I have become extremely interested and now determined to study Veterinary Medicine either next year or the following. I am currently in the process of researching my options and pathways in order to eventually enter Veterinary Medicine and obviously, hands on, practical experience with animals would be indispensable in terms of my applications to university but even more so in the development of my future career.
Previous Experience
I speak English and French fluently as I have lived in England, Wellington and Bordeaux for a number of years. I have also acquired notions of the Korean language through my studies at Seoul National University. These past four years I have, for the most part, been travelling, working in Hospitality and/or teaching. From this I have grown both personally and professionally acquiring new skills and gaining a greater understanding of accountability and responsibility, not only for my own actions but also when training new employees. Prioritization and time management skills, as well as being able to multitask, work under pressure and think ahead accompanied a great pleasure of working in a team and with the diverse clientele. I am a dedicated and reliable employee, highly motivated and enthusiastic to learn. I have also, since acquiring the TEFL, been teaching English as a foreign language to French students of all ages which of course allowed me, above all, to refine skills in communication, patience and creative thinking.
Qualifications & Training
I was torn between law and veterinary medicine as careers for a while and so made the decision to study a paralegal qualification as an initial insight into the legal profession. I am currently studying a CILEx Level 3 Certificate in Law and Practice by correspondence, which I will continue until completion in June. This experience has been indispensable in helping me decide, and now I know that, while I thoroughly enjoy my paralegal studies, I am now surer than ever that I want to go into veterinary medicine.
