About Me/ Company

I am 20 years old and recently came out of education at Brackenhurst in Southwell and I am looking for a flexible job which I will enjoy. I am very passionate about animals and do in the future plan to go on to train as a Veterinary Nurse. I think a role like this would give me a great chance to interact with many different types of dog which I am not familiar with and ensure that both the animals and myself are getting the exercise they need. Also, lifting a weight from the owners shoulders, knowing they do not have to worry about their pets. From a welfare point of view I believe one on one care for a pet while their owners are away is a lot better for them rather than a kennel environment.
Although, unfortunately I cannot accomodate anything other than small pets in my own home as I do have 3 Jack russell terriers!

Previous Experience

During my time at Brackenhurst, I studied Kennel and Cattery and Practical animal handling, I also studied animal behaviour and training which involved a lot of work with dogs, both familiar and strange, alone and in groups. I am quite confident in handling different dogs, big and small and have worked with everything from Newfoundlands and Mastiffs to 6 week old Springer Spaniels and Chihuahuas!
I have also taken care of a friend's labrador with a mild form of epilepsy on long weekends for a number of years now.
