About Me/ Company
My name is Karin Larsson-Bradshaw I have a Springer spaniel called Maggie, a horse and two cats. I started dog walking 8 years ago. At the moment I walk in the morning and the afternoons, mainly in the Selborne, Hawkley and Empshott area. However I am looking to expand my dog walking service, by taking on more dogs and walking in the Petersfield and Liphook area.
I walk several dogs at once and I am more than happy to walk problem dogs and can integrate them into my pack of dogs.
Previous Experience
I have walked and owned dogs for the past ten years, I also provide behavioural training for dogs, a service that is tailor made to your situation and is done in your own home. I work with the dogs natural instincts and behaviours to build a trusting relationship between you and your dogs. The techniques are non confrontational and they simply help you to understand your dog and allow you to communicate with him, in a way that he understands and makes sense to him. These methods teach you how to be the pack leader, by doing so this has a positive effect on all walks of your life.
I used ride and train race horses whilst living in Sweden before I moved here to England.
I grew up on a working farm in Sweden where I was surrounded by an assortment of animals including bulls, cows, pigs, horses, dogs, cats and rabbits. I helped out on the farm doing jobs such as calving, exercising the horses, showing animals and of course dog walking. From an early age I felt an affinity to animals, both domesticated and wild, caring for them in many ways as well as nursing sick wild animals and birds back to health. I always felt intuitively connected to animals and had an understanding of their needs something which is useful to me still to this day.
Qualifications & Training
As mentioned above I have years of experience with dog walking and behavioural training for dogs.
I also have trained racehorses for four years and in recent years I have looked after horses for other people, riding out and stable duties. I use natural horsemanship methods to work with the horse and help owners understand their horses behaviour. I don’t use one particular method, I will use the approach that suits each individual horse to achieve a positive change for horse and owner.
I am also studying to become an Equine Touch Practitioner having achieved Level 2 and I am now working towards my Level 3.
Other Services
Caring for horses and other family pets.
