About Me/ Company

My name is Karin Perathoner, I’m 37 years old, and I come from the beautiful region of Southtyrol in the northern part of Italy. I have been living in the Uk for the past 15 years and currently live in southwest London together with my husband James. I have recently given up my job to finally pursue my dream job which is working with animals. I have adored animals since I was a little girl. My long suffering parents had to put up with me bringing home injured kittens, swallows and pigeons, a falcon, frogs, hamsters and all kinds of insects to be cared for. Most recently I rescued a ginger cat called Athena from the streets of Athens, Poppy, an injured Jack Russell which I found on the side of a Motorway in Manchester and Rosie, the sweetest and most loving boxer cross staffie my husband and I rescued whilst on honeymoon in Corfu. The fondest memories of my childhood are spending every summer on a farm in the mountains, surrounded by cats, dogs, chickens, cows and many more.

I enjoy walking dogs so I can spend time with them and gain more knowledge about their behaviour so that I can finally embark on my dream job as a canine behaviourist.

Previous Experience

I have volunteered and worked at North Clwyd Animal Rescue centre in North Wales. My job involved assisting the assessment of newly arrived dogs, walking them, cleaning their kennels and finally assists with rehoming.
I have volunteered at Battersea cats and dogs home in London for 3 years. Here my job was in kennel socialisation and walking.
