My name is Ann. I am a mature, sensible lady with a genuine love for animals. Most of my life has been dedicated to owning and working with dogs and other animals, I will treat your pets with the kindness and respect they deserve, always with their comfort, happiness and well being at heart. I believe my mature attitude, practical experience, along with a lifelong genuine love of animals, goes a long way in gaining peoples trust in me to care for their pets.

Your dog will receive a warm friendly welcome from us. Our home will be their home throughout their stay here.
We have a small, but secure garden, a conservatory which doubles up as a dog play area by day, and a tranquil "chill out zone" in the evenings.
The house is very dog friendly, they can bring their own beds or just a blanket and sleep on the sofa (as long as they leave space for Lulu!!)
Peaceful canal walks start at the bottom of our road and the beach is within easy walking distance. We are spoilt for choice here for many beautiful places to go for walkies!!
I will follow your specific instructions for care, exercise and feeding routine. Please supply me with enough of your dogs usual food and own feeding bowl.

My partner Andy works full time so guests will get to meet him more in the evenings and at weekends. Our 'guests' all seem to like snuggling up with him to watch T.V. They know he is a bit of an old softie and they like the "Daddy Cuddles" they get from him!

We have two English Setters, Lulu and Stormie, who are both exceptionally friendly and good natured towards dogs and people. Lulu is eight years old, very laid back, quiet, calm and gentle. Stormie is much younger, more outgoing, very friendly and loves to play. She also eats and sleeps a lot!! She is a typical friendly young Setter and makes me laugh every day with some of her antics.

You are welcome to come and visit us for a cuppa and a chat before making your first booking for day care or boarding. Please contact me to arrange a suitable day and time.

We only have a very small number of 'guests' staying here at any one time, I like owners to know their dogs will receive a true home from home experience, with lots of individual attention.

Small to medium sized dogs only please.

Nice friendly dogs only please (aggression not tolerated).

Would prefer male dogs to be neutered

Regular flea and worm treatment advisable for dogs that come to stay

Advance booking is advisable. A 50% deposit (non refundable)will secure a long weekend or holiday booking. Day care and short stays of 1-2 nights, just pay as you go. Cash or cheque accepted.

Home boarding is charged at for each night of your dogs stay. Dogs collected before 10 am on the going home day will not be charged for that day. Dogs collected after 10am will be charged day care for that day.

Prices: £20 per day for each dog

DOGGY DAY CARE: £15 per day.
If you only require your dog to stay with me for part of the day, approx. six hours or less, this will cost £10

I like to keep dogs on a lead until they get to know me.
My insurance stipulates that I must have the owners written permission to walk dogs off the lead.

Show dog preparation and attending dog shows.

Devoted owner of English Setters for many years, also cats, rabbits, birds and fish.

I understand that your pets are special to you, and you will want them to have the best care when you are unable to be with them yourself.

Having worked in boarding kennels in the past, although many pets take to boarding very well and enjoy the experience, I know it can be a very unsettling and stressful time for some animals. My home from home boarding offers your dog(s) a more tranquil alternative to kennels.
