Charlie is a 10 month old male. He can walk in a small group but a bitch on heat and older dogs may be problematic given his energy. Other than this, he is very sociable and is used to other dogs at obedience training/regular walks on the Downs, so will interact with any other dog without problem. Our current dog walker has a policy that she cannot walk un-neutered dogs beyond 12 months, so we need a replacement.
He likes to run, play catch and hide and seek. He is trained on the whistle and used to being off lead. He can walk well on the lead, but will need to be corrected if he does not walk to heel. Charlie likes to have a pack leader and so responds very well to boundaries and instructions - age of the handler does not matter, as my 80 year old gran and my 11 year old nieces manage to walk him just fine!
We live under 1 minute's walk from the Merrow downs, so we are in a prime location.
If you would like to put yourself forward to walk Charlie, it would be great if you could provide a reference (does not have to be dog related!). We are happy for you to meet and maybe test-walk Charlie with us before taking him on.
