Dog Walker
- Want dog(s) to be walked alone
Details:
Reliable, dog walker wanted to walk 2 dogs at lunchtimes most days during the week in Sydenham, London SE26.
I am looking for someone who is experienced with dogs and is a genuine dog lover. My dogs are totally non-aggressive, well behaved cross-breeds who love all other dogs and humans.
Bruno (nickname Big B) is an old man. He is a large x-breed, a big, loving, gentle giant. He is in his latter years and can''t walk very fast. It is a case of walking him to the park, letting him off leash and let him amble about at his own pace. He loves just to sniff and wander slowly. He has his good days and days when he is less active and doesn't want his lunchtime walk, which is fine, he will tell you. If that's the case, you'll just be walking the other one.
Ozzy is a 9 year old cross golden retriever/collie. He is just a regular dog, loves to go off on sniffing trails and sometimes play ball, and play with other dogs, but not always. He will chase a cat if given the chance, but that's the only thing you would have to look out for.
Walking one or both together is not a big, physical challenge, it's really just a stroll in the park, keeping an eye on them and picking up any poop.
They love other dogs and would fine going with a group, the only thing that prevents that is Big B can't keep up these days, which means they probably have to be walked on their own.
I need the right person to start on Monday 14th November as I am returning to work. I work shifts and you would have to follow my shift pattern, sometimes 5 days a week, sometimes less but always at around 12.30/1pm for an hour including the time it takes to walk to and from the park. It would be helpful if you were also available every second weekend, but that is non essential. What is essential is that you LOVE dogs and understand them and that you are reliable, committed and trustworthy.
I am willing to pay £10 each day (which is almost double the hourly rate as I get paid!)
If you are interested, please send me an email telling me all about yourself and your experience. I'm happy to hear from both professionals and non-professionals. I would want to meet up with the right person sometime next week to do the walk with me so both you and my dogs get familiar with each other, for which I will pay.
Thanks for reading
Christine
