I'm a 4 yr old rescue dog, with a sweet nature but have some behavioural problems. My new Mum and Dad, Clare & Gary Dyson, rescued me from the RSPCA in September and are working with the RSPCA on my rehabilitation.
I have been in kennels for a long time and am anxious in many situations and with some people and dogs, so would need to be walked alone. I am very lively and strong on walks and would suggest several meetings are required off territory before coming back to my house. My behaviourist at the RSPCA has offered to meet you with my Mum and Dad, to help you gain a better understanding of me.
I am less nervous with women than men but am OK with men that are confident and relaxed around dogs. My Mum and Dad often work away from home and sometimes take me with them in the car but as the warm weather approaches, this won't be possible, so they want someone I can get to know well, who could call in to let me out for a mid day walk if needs be.
Eventually doggy day care and / or house sitter would be our long term aim, for holiday and short business trip situations, but for now walks would help us a great deal. I look forward to meeting you. Shadow. :O)
