Details:
Riley needs a lunchtime walk/play session as I have had to return to full time work.
We rehomed Riley four months ago and although he is fully grown he still acts like a 6 month old puppy. A lot of things are still new to him (shadows, flying birds etc).
He is 14 months old and can be a bit boisterous when he first meets dogs when on the lead. Once the initial sniff test is done he gets over his fear and will calm down. He is easily distracted from too boisterous behaviour by using a squeaky ball.
When no dogs are around he is great to walk on the lead, he just saunters along happy to be out and about. He sits before crossing the road and will wait while any poop is scooped.
Off the lead he is great. He will have to go and say hello to anything that will pay him attention, but once he has done he is happy to continue on his adventure. His recall is good and if calling his name does not work squeaking the ball will. In fairnes if the ball is out chances are he won't show any interest in anything else.
Ideal dog walker would need to be strong and confident (as I explained he can get boisterous).
There are lots of dog friendly spaces within 3-5 mins walk from our home. He does travel in the car but has to be in the boot (estate) with the guard up as he would much rather he got to drive himself!!!
Newton beach is just ten mins away by car and Riley loves the sand and surf (not to mention the friends he meets).
