Hi, I have a little 8 year old miniature schnauzer female and I am looking for someone who can pet sit her in my home in Hebden Bridge for three days and 2 nights roughly ever four weeks or so, (although if my partner is at home this might only be one night every four weeks or less) and also to walk her on an ad hoc basis as well as house sit when we are on holiday.I am prepared to work this on a reciprocal basis if you also have a dog you would like looked after and you live in the area.
I normally work from home but have to work away for three days every month hence needing a pet sitter. My dog has some health issues, she has epilepsy but this is very well controlled by medication. She is also on a VERY strict diet and cannot eat any food other than her prescription food and no treats at all as she cannot metabolise fat and this leads to pancreatitis flares.
She can be a bit nervous around children and will bark at them and sometimes chase them if they run hence she needs to be walked on a lead - this also stops her eating nasties in the fields and woods. She is happiest in her own home, in her routine and is a very playful, loveable and a fun character to be around.
I am keen to find an honest and reliable and sensitive dog lover who is experienced around dogs and committed to providing my dog with a stable routine and care for her in relation to watching what she eats and takes her meds etc.
