Experienced Pet Carer and Dog Walker needed to help run a busy, small South West London pet sitting company.


 


Lisa’s Pet & Home Care is a well-established business offering an exclusive personal professional pet caring service to pet owners in Kensington, Chelsea & Fulham.


I provide dog walking / dog boarding / dog & cat visits / puppy & pet sitting and a pet taxi service to Waggin’ Tails Pet Groomers and also all the local surrounding vets. I will be looking for a full-time assistant to train up and help take over running the business before I have my baby in May. This position is available immediately. My business is a small, personal one. You will run the practical day-to-day schedule, which is always varied as no day is ever the same. I provide a dog transportation car, which has tinted windows, air-conditioning and duvets. My clients have known me for 3 years, since I started my company, and all my dogs are well behaved and will form a close bond with the right candidate. I am a member of NARP, and the successful candidate will also become referred by myself to also become a member. I will also provide a dog walkers licence for Battersea Park. The right candidate will be working from Waggin’ Tails, Pet Groomers for 2-3 hours of the day looking after all Doggy Day Cares from the shop. This will involve feeding them, playing with them, clearing up after them and keeping a close eye on them at all times. You will have some involvement in helping run the shop when it gets very busy, for example answering the phone or selling pet items to customers. Having control of them at all times in the shop is very important. The rest of the day will involve driving to pick up and drop off dogs in the local area, with up to 3 hours of dog walking per day • Candidates will need to be hard working, motivated, personable, organized, reliable and trustworthy. They must be able to work independently, and be able to confidently problem-solve any of the daily challenges that will be thrown at them. Organisation is very important, as, once fully trained, they will end up running the business’ busy schedule. They will also need to be physically fit and healthy and prepared to work in all kinds of weather. They will have a clean driving licence that they have held for over a year. A company vehicle will be provided. Having their own vehicle is an advantage, but not necessary. Working hours is are Monday to Friday and some occasional Saturdays, between 8.45 am and 5.45 pm. Although hours may vary, with the opportunity to board clients’ pets at your home and earn overtime when doing so. Applicants will need to: • Share a love and respect for dogs and be able to demonstrate good, confident handling experience when dealing with a large pack.


References will be required to prove this, as well as a practical test should the initial interview go well.


• Be able to board one dog at a time at their home, should it be required of them


• Live within the boroughs of London. Earls Court is the nearest tube station


• Be a confident driver with a clean license for over a year


• Speak and write fluent English to a high standard • Own a computer with E-mail facility.


• Arrange a CRB check if the role is offered • Have good social skills and be able to speak confidently to clients and work in a shop environment for part of the day.


• Be able to work on their own and independently. The ability to problem solve and organise with managerial skills.


• Be looking for a long-term career, this role is for a minimum of 1 year subject to a 2 month trial period
