Biko is a very happy and loving young Rhodesian Ridgeback (he is 20 months old). Like all Rhodesian Ridgebacks he can be stubborn and needs a calm, firm and loving approach. His recall overall is very good although extra vigilance is required around deer as he wants to herd them up. Biko has been going to day-care for the past year but unfortunately was bitten on his tail by a black Labrador. Since then he has developed a dislike for them and can be quite dominant around them by trying to mount them. Therefore, he cannot be walked with a Labrador. He is brilliant with all other dogs and overall is very calm, as long as he gets his exercise. He will need an experienced dog walker who is used to walking large dogs, ideally other ridgebacks. This would be a five days a week requirement and ideally he should be walked in the middle of the day as I will take him for a good walk in the morning. We live very close to Richmond Park (2 minute walk) so it is an ideal place to walk him.
