Blue and Dan are friendly young rescue greyhounds. Blue is a small bitch, 3 years old and Dan is a medium/large male, aged 4. Blue has a very gentle nature, she is the quieter of the 2 dogs, however she is very playful when warms up.
Blue enjoys being stroked, she likes other dogs and she loves Dan! Blue has a typical greyhound temperament and can be a little bit skittish around loud noises; she particularly doesn\'t like trains. Dan is a bouncy, playful dog who loves attention and always enjoys his walks. Both dogs walk well on the lead, however Dan is a strong dog and he sometimes needs firm handling if for example he spots a squirrel or a bird. Both dogs are good with other dogs and there are no issues with aggression. The dogs both stay on their leads during walks because they are ex-racers and have the potential to chase. The dogs are used to walking on a lead and they are generally very easy to walk. We both work long hours and we are looking for a dog lover who is genuine and reliable and who would enjoy walking Blue and Dan for 1-2 hours a day approximately 3-4 days a week. If you are able to offer day care in your home or in ours that would also be very welcome; the dogs respond well to routine, kindness, lots of stroking and above all a calm environment.
We can be flexible for the right person and look forward to hearing from anybody who thinks that they might be interested in walking/caring for Blue and Dan. Best wishes.
