I have 2 border terriers one is nearly 4 and the other nearly 2.
Obviously I think they are fantastic but they do have their challenges and I have to have eyes everywhere when we are out walking. Barkley is fond of sheep, other dogs, can smell a dog treat in someone's pocket a mile away and has selective bouts of deafness but hasn't got a nasty bone in his body
Brigett is the younger bitch and looks like butter wouldn't melt, she is very focused on me and is always listening to me and responding to what I say she is very very obedient however she does not like other bitches come into her space, she will bark to warn them off first but will have a go and any that don't back away from her - I keep her away from other dogs to be on the safe side.
We usually walk for just over an hour in the morning and then again later on for a short time. I have been working for myself which has allowed me flexibility. However circumstances have changed and in the next week I start a new job that will involve me being out a lot longer during the day and even some over night stays. My husband has had to take a job working abroad and so he is not here all the time to help with the dogs.
What I am looking for is someone who is happy to walk the dogs once during the day for me around 3 days a week and also have them to stay over night if I am away.
As this is a new job I am not sure how much time I am going to be away, over night stays will be kept to a minimum although I am definitely away for 2 nights on the 26th and 27th Feb.
My dogs are very loving, they are just typical terriers - experience looking after terriers would be ideal!
