Details:
We are looking for someone really special to become a regular dog sitter for our two rescue Rottweilers for when we go on holiday or away for the odd weekend. The reason for wanting someone regular is so you are able to build up a strong relationship with the dogs.
It's essential that you have experience of large breeds and we would prefer you to have had experience of working with and / or owning rescue dogs. If you possess any kind of behavioural / training qualifications, that would be fantastic.
I'm happy to go into more detail with individuals, but in short, we have two very different dogs.
Luther is an 8 stone bear who has a heart of gold and loves everything and everyone he comes into contact with. He lives in complete harmony with our two cats and is great with dogs of all shapes and sizes.
Roxy is a different kettle of fish. A much more hyperactive and wired girl, she loves people and is a wonderful dog (although more aloof and less bothered about cuddles than Luther!), but she does have issues with other dogs so needs careful handling by someone patient and understanding.
Our ideal scenario would be for someone to look after the dogs in our home (we also have two cats!) as this is where Roxy is more comfortable, however, for the right person, we would consider them coming to stay with you so long as you don't have any other pets during their stay.
