Energetic, affectionate dog sitter wanted keen on long walks and lots of cuddles!
We are going abroad for our wedding and we are taking our friends and family (our usual dog sitters!) with us so we need Buddy to stay at your home from 31st May to 6th June (this is over the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend).
Buddy is very energetic and excitable (3 and a half years old) and we walk him for 45 mins to 1 hour every day on Epsom Common so he will need lots of exercise - he has A LOT of energy!! He pulls on the lead and jumps up at people that he meets for the first time when they come to the house so you would need to be able to put up with that.
At home he is allowed on the sofas and sleeps on the bed if my partner is away or in his basket outside the bedroom door if not. He is very playful and demands a lot of attention, he is incredibly loveable and loves cuddles and human contact (when I sit watching the TV he lays down on my lap). He is very obediant, does not chew anything other than his toys and is very intelligent and quick to adapt to different environments. He uses the same patch in the garden for his toilet, has never messed inside the house and lets you know whenever he needs to go out. He is very well behaved but he can rather manipulative (wobbling his bottom lip if he's not getting his own way) but he responds to a stern word! He is such a gorgeous and rewarding doggy....
Our usual sitters are a family with two children (ages 7 and 9) and he plays beautifully with them. I would prefer that he wasn't housed with another dog if possible - not that he has ever been aggressive with other dogs because he isn't - but we have never had him with other dogs other than the ones he meets on the Common so I wouldn't like to chance it.
We need someone to give him a lovely holiday while we are enjoying ours.
