Hi,
My husband and I are having to go away on the 16th to 26th September and have no one suitable to look after our two dogs.
We have never used kennels and would rather not as the dogs are used to alot of human contact and free run of the garden all day.
I would like a confident person who would be able to either stay at our home or bring the dogs to their home for the full duration of our vacation.
It is essential that they are walked twice a day with the opportunity to be let off the lead once in a safe area to do so.
The first dog,'Bob' is half spaniel half lurcher, has loads of energy, speed and is obsessed with a ball. She is 2 and a half very loving but also likes her quiet time away from her daughter (usually under a bush in the garden or under the bed).
On the lead she pulls a bit but is ok when on the double lead with her daughter. Off the lead she is very good and as long as you have a ball in your hand nothing else in the world matters.
Her daughter 'Sausage' is half staffi and obsessed with people. At 8 months she loves lots of cuddles and requires alot of human attention ... she is not interested in a ball (unless she is winding up her mum). She loves to chew on sticks, old slippers and anything you give her. When walking she is great on the lead but with her inquistive nature has a tendancy to run a little too far away at times for comfort ... however she will do anything for treat and with come back if you clap.
The are both very sociable dogs and have never been in any trouble. They are both very good in cars and their favourite place to walk is Forty Hall which they go to twice a week to jump in the river.
