Details:
We are looking for someone to stay at our home while we attend a friends wedding abroad. We live in Ashburton which is in the Dartmoor National Park boundry. We have 2 golden retriever boys who are extremely well behaved. We would ask that you are prepared to allow the boys in your vehicle as company car does not allow anyone else to drive it.
The boys love to swim and need toweling off and grooming as necessary. One of the boys is nervous due to a previous home so considerate people required please.
Ashburton is an old stanery town which has lots of independant shops and good eateries.
We are approximately half way between Exeter and Plymouth and on the edge of the moor so there is plenty to see and do for every one. Most of the pubs on the moor allow dogs in and they are well behaved should you go in for lunch or a drink after a walk. We are not far from the sea either.
Our home is comfortable and we have all the modern appliances to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The house is reverse level which means you would be sleeping downstairs. this affords us lovely views over rooftops onto lovely countryside. We live in a small cul de sac and the neighbours are very friendly.
We would love for the grass to be cut the garden is larger than that of new houses, and for any tubs and posts to be watered. The boys can be left during the day for 5 ish hours so you would have time to go out and about to visit other places you might like to see.
We have a hot tub which you are welcome to use (chemicals need to be added to keep the water clean if used-really easy) and for health and saftey reason we prefer a couple but not a necessity we would just worry a little.
We will be leaving on Friday late afternoon to stay overnight in LOndon to catch early flight. We will be arriving back either side of midnight on the 21st so we may unfortunately disturb you sleep upon return as we get a fantastic greeting upon return.
We have had housesitters previously using a different site and hope that the information pack we have put together covers as many things as possible we can think of to make your stay pressure free.
We do not normally pay for housesitters as we provide a rent and utility free stay unless long distance telephone calls are made which we would ask for this to be paid. However for the right people we would negotiate this.
