Hello, i am looking to go away for a 2weeks possibly 3 to spend time with my partners who now works aboard, but i am having trouble finding somewhere for my dog to stay as i won't put him in kennels. He is 14 and is in good health, his only problem is he had an accident last year and has had to have a rear leg amputation. He gets around alright, he just needs a little help up and down steps and has a rear harness for walks as he tends to drag his leg. He is fine with children- i have a four year old. also with cats and other animals. However with other dogs it tends to go either way, sometimes he is fine and uninterested other times he can be aggressive. He has lived with another dog in the past and we never had a problem, i believe that if he was introduced in the right way to another dog he would be fine. He is only ever aggressive when he first meets a dog, after the initial meeting he is fine, but he does not always react aggressivly we are usually on walks when that happens. He is a cross breed, smaller than a Labrador but has similar features. Also with age he has now completely lost his hearing but this hasn't seemed to be a problem for him. im really worried about leaving him and i hope somone reads this who can offer him lots of love and attention whilst i am away. thanks in advance aimee. p.s i live in runcorn.
