Details:

We are a very friendly household, with small children and 2 wonderful dogs. Rosie and Bloggs are very obedient but are typical JRs, ie lively, intelligent and funny.
They are extremely obedient, house trained (even go on command), recall is excellent, friendly to people and children.

There is only one area to flag and that is how they are on first meeting other dogs.
On walks Rosie is frightened so barks quite frenetically until they pass. If you stopped at talked to the owner however it stops, just a bit of grumbling, and then nothing. it is literally the first 30 secs or so, or until they have passed.
Bloggs tries to protect her (being the brother and boy) so may join in, even go up and 'snap' (but has never attacked) some dogs. walked on his own he doesn't do this at all.

Around dogs other than initially tense, they soon relax and at worst 'ignore' other dogs or move to their own space.

The are both adorable, very much part of the family (and we work hard at them being lower in the pack), 9 years old.
They don't need much exercise being older, with Bloggs it's more about ball throwing with Rosie it's a nice comfy dogs bed in a quiet place she can hide under her blanket (or behind my son's mid sleeper in the dark).

We are looking for a dog sitter, either in their home or to come and stay at ours, whilst we are away weekends (caravan in the summer), or holidays (a skiing holiday booked end of January 2013 for instance). they are fine at kennels, but we know they prefer being in a comfy home, as this is what they are used to.
