I am already a member of this site and advertise my own pet business here but on this occasion I am the one looking for help.
I am getting an Otterhound puppy in mid June, when it is about 8-9 weeks old, but my wife and I had already pre-booked to go away for a few days from 30th July to 4th August - our annual visit to the Cambridge Folk Festival.
Our other dogs (Otterhound & Border terrier), will be going into kennels, but the puppy will be too young (it will be 15 weeks by then) and it will be too soon after his vaccinations, so I am trying to find a puppy friendly home for a few days - someone who can give him all the attention that he needs in our absence, being separated from his new family.
As an experienced Otterhound owner, I can advise any prospective carer that the puppy will not need walking - only food, play and sleep, and short outings to do his business.
I will be happy for him to go into a home with other pets, as this will assist in his socialisation.
