My husband and I both work, he full time and me Mon-Thurs inclusive 8am to about 5pm. We used to take Meg to a friend on a Monday morning and fetch her back on a Thursday evening but this proved unsuccessful because she came home with cat fleas all the time and has developed an allergy to them. She loved our friend and vice versa but alas we can't afford the vet's fees!
Ideally I would like to be able to walk Meg in the morning during the summer when there's enough light, then deliver her to her sitter for the day and pick her up in the late afternoon. If she's been walked in the afternoon, great, but not essential.
She's 11 years old this year and a real sweetie pie and very quiet. She doesn't really care either way about other dogs - she tends to ignore them. She does love sofas though, I'm sorry to say. I'm looking for someone who could provide a home from home for her during the week, just so she has some company, even though she will sleep most of the time.
