Details:
I am going away to Australia in April to visit my daughter and unfortunately the person that usually has the dog is not able to.
He has been in kennels previously but was very upset and I do not want to put him through that again - he was a rescue dog and I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
I am looking for him to stay with someone for the period I am away as my house is likely to be uninhabitable due to building works.
He is a loveable chap, enjoys plenty of exercise especially playing with any size of ball. He is unfortuantely not good with other dogs and I wouldn't like to trust him with young children. He is also a bit of an escape artist and I can no longer trust him off the lead when out and about unless in a secure area.
Advanced warning - he likes lots of cuddles and will expect to sleep in your bed. Best to be honest up front! If you shut him out he will bark/cry outside your room all night.
