About Me/ Company

Hello, my name is Jane McDevitt. I live in Hoylake, Wirral with my husband and my ageing diabetic cat called Moggy. I work part time at a nearby Veterinary Surgery as a Vet Assistant helping the vets in all manner of ways with the animals that come in to the surgery.
As I only work part time (two and half days + holiday cover) I have plenty of free time to assist you with any help you may need for your beloved dog (or cat for that matter) such as visiting for dog walking and dog/cat sitting whilst you are away. Previous Experience

I have grown up with dogs and cats all my life. I have a special affinity with animals and they with me. The last nine years working as a part time Veterinary Assistant has been very rewarding and I have developed special relationships with some of the elderley and infirm clients that bring their cats and dogs to our surgery for treatment by helping them with their pets, taking them for walks when they are unable and transporting them to our vets when needed. Also looking after their dogs/cats when they have to go into hospital. I am trained to administer medication and insulin injections to animals. I have to inject my diabetic cat twice daily with insulin.

Qualifications & Training

The Veterinary Surgery I work for have decided to enrol me for an SQP (Special Qualified Person) veterinary qualification which I hope to complete this year which involves in depth study of companion animals and their common illnesses and treatments.

Other Services

I have my own car with clean driving licence. I am able to transport your pet to your vets/groomers if needed. I am also happy to water plants whilst you are away.
