Hello,

I'm mad about dogs - sometimes think I was a dog in a former life. I have shared my life with two rescue dogs: my first, named Poppy, a black labrador, that I inherited (to save her from the dreaded 'termination') while I was working in Pakistan. We spent a wonderful 7 years together, before she finally died in my arms (my wish came true - that I would be there with her at the end). She had a wonderful, albeit emotional, burial with all my friends there for support, and we all gathered afterwards for her wake.

My second rescue dog, Elsa, is still with me now. I found her lying in a gutter in Pakistan, covered in mud, with wire tied round her snout. I thought she was dead. How wrong I was. She is amazing: despite having a fractured skull, dislocated jaw and teeth that 'float' in her gums, she is gentle, loving and trusting. She agreed to go with me to Saudi Arabia (when my job finished in Pakistan), and we spent a wonderful 3 years there, biking everywhere we could together. And now, Elsa is about to join me here in the UK, where I am looking forward to finally settling down with her and introducing her to the "sea" and great swathes of forest and grass, which she has never seen.

If you would like the reassurance that your dog is being given the care, exercise and love that you would provide (if you didn't have to work, etc.), I would love to do this for you (well, for your dog really). I know what it is to juggle a busy life, working full-time, while trying to ensure that your dog has some quality of life while you're out all day. It's a nightmare, and a worry. I will exercise, care for and talk to your dog as I do with my own: as with any member of the family.

Previous Experience

I have no professional qualifications for looking after dogs. But I do have years of hands-on experience looking after my own dogs and friends' dogs, and a caring, sympathetic nature. I am also very fit and healthy and love to see a dog enjoying lots of freedom, fun and exercise.

Relevant Info

I have a car and no family commitments and can be available at any time.

I am also happy to look after any other pets you might have that need to be fed, watered, tlc etc.
