• A passionate interest in animal care, ecology and conservation, demonstrated by extensive (largely voluntary) experience since 2008. • Academic study in Animal Management - BTEC level 3 Extended Diploma, Distinction*, Distinction*, Distinction. • Committed to degree level studies at Winchester from this autumn - Ecology and Conservation Management. • Confident, caring and patient when working with animals. • Good observation skills. • The ability to cope with upsetting situations such as working with injured animals. • Awareness of Health and Safety requirements with regard to animal care. • Willing and able to take responsibility for the duty of care towards animals, the well-being of an animal in my care is paramount. • Flexible and adaptable. • Hard working. • Physically fit. • Willing to undertake dirty and unpleasant tasks. • Good ‘people’ skills. • A friendly, outgoing personality. • A team member with a ‘can do’ attitude. • I hold a clean current driving licence and have my own transport.
