About Me/ Company
I am a 21 year old zoologist currently studying for a Masters at Aberdeen university. I am the epitome of a "dog person" - I've grown up around dogs all my life, and nothing makes me happier than to spend my time in their company!
I love all dogs big and small, along with the fact that they all have distinct personalities. Having grown up walking and training my own pets, I can understand the importance of having someone experienced, friendly and responsible in charge of yours. I have much experience of working with animals, and I believe that a calm nature is the way forward when dealing with animals who don't know you.
I could provide invaluable exercise and, most importantly, companionship for your dog while you aren't at home. A friendly face is guaranteed to ensure waggy tails!
Previous Experience
I've walked and trained my own dogs since I was very young, and have experience with breeds and temperaments ranging from collies to enormous Labradors and boisterous mongrels. I actually won an award for training the latter, a particularly excitable rescue dog called Benji!
I have also worked in Tynemouth Blue Reef Aquarium, as a marine zoologist, where I was responsible for the feeding and maintenance of a host of animals, including coral reef fishes, sharks, otters, and small primates. My job also involved training our four seals. I was in very close proximity with these animals at all times, and was responsible for both myself and their safety.
Finally, I was lucky enough last summer to get the chance to volunteer on a cheetah reserve in South Africa, where I learnt to feed and care for these beautiful big cats. After handing over bowls of raw meat to wild cheetahs, I feel I'm more than capable to play tug of war with your dog!
