About Me/ Company
My name is Katie and I have just started Hinckley2thurmastonzoo which is a fantastic new dog walking service that works on a one to one basis with your dog, I am fully inured and also provide pet visits and small animal boarding.
Please contact me to ask questions or visit the website for more information. I will walk you dog in all weathers, If there is severe snowfall and you do not wish your dog to go out I will still come and visit to ensure it has a toilet break and food and water is topped up. If it is too hot to safely walk your dog I will contact you with my recommendations and ask if you would like a shorter walk on grass or whether you would like a pet visit to give a toilet break and feeding. Animals will not be left alone all day under any circumstances. I work on a one to one basis and so no group walks, this ensures that I can concentrate on your dog and its own individual needs.
Previous Experience
I am completing an animal science degree and I'm a qualified animal first aider. I have also worked for Royvon kennels and also the retired greyhound trust which I loved.
Other Services
I also run a small animal boarding service, I have both experience and training to ensure your pet is well looked after. I have completed my Veterinary Support Assistant at HND and I am now studying my BSC Honors in Animal Science. I have worked at our local rabbit sanctuary for a good few years.... love it! And I have a rabbit and hamster of my own.
Accommodation:
I have inside and outside accommodations, I prefer to let rabbits and guinea pigs outside during the day, lots of grass and fresh air and bring them in at night as it's safer and warmer.
All animals have their own cage, hutch and run and they all get a lot of handling, but separately of course, because not all our furry friends will get on!
