Hello, my name is Helia i'm Portuguese and i've arrived London one year ago. In my country i've worked for 14 years in a Radio Station as a DJ. Here i'm working in restaurants as Coffee Girl, Waitress...a completely different experience for me that has its ups and downs but i like to be here and i want to learn more about the country and the culture. About the pets, they are my life....forever. Here people live a completely different reality from the one i'm used to. I have 9 cats and 2 dogs, at the moment, they are in Portugal but my mother is taking care of them and every month i send money for them. I always had pets since i was a little girl...most of them i used to find them on the streets abandoned (that's the reality of my country, now even more because of the economic crisis). I'm very very proud of the way people take care of their pets here and i hope to live enough to see my country doing the same...i really hope!!!
Previous Experience
My experience of taking care of animals has never been paid, so i can't say i'm a professional. But for sure i've done more then most of the professionals will ever do. It's a job for me, because i didn't choose love them the way i do, but i was born this way and i'm gonna die this way to. It's more than a job, taking home animals, most of them almost dead because of diseases or starving to death.... Loving pets in a country were people have no respect for them it's really hard , i have no words to describe the cruelty that many animals are subject and i've seen lots of them....i never had lots of money but i never left a dog or a cat needing for help and i turned my back, i've always found a solution if i couldn't stay with them i always found someone to do it, And this is a little bit of i am , i have lots of experience because i've always had lots of pets. I miss mine everyday and if you think i'm the right person for that i will walk your pet and give him all my love!
