About Me/ Company

Hello,

My name is Hazel and I am a 28 year old university graduate. I currently work for a large medical organisation on a temporary contract. My desire is to work with animals and people, and although I am partly there having studied Animal Behaviour and Training for three years, I have not yet been able to break into the animal world of work.

Previous Experience

Never has my home been an empty one. Growing up involved numerous pets which entailed daily walking, cleaning, feeding, watering and even breeding. I will rescue any animal even those on which I am not keen! At the moment however, I only own one cat named Freddie also a rescue. I am looking forwards to shortly owning a dog again to help me progress my training skills.

I have volunteered on and off for the R.S.P.C.A which brought a variety of different challenges. This role introduced me to a good range a breeds and behaviours mainly in canines but also smaller mammals. In the past, I have regularly house sat for friends and relatives, taking care of dogs, cats, horses and some smaller animals.

I have a sound understanding of animal behaviour and use positive training techniques to work with both pet and owner. I would also like to offer a behaviour counselling service for owners who feel their pets may have behavioural or training issues.

Other Services

I offer help for any owners with pets that have behavioural or training issues. This service is charged at £40 per consultation. Consutations may take up to a day in order for me to conduct a thorough assessment and also to demonstrate correction techniques. Following this, I will deliver a modification plan which will work towards correcting the behaviour. Basic training can me included into walks for no extra charge.
