About Me/ Company

My name is Hayley and I am the owner of Hayley’s Happy Hounds and Pet Care Services and I am the person responsible for caring for your pets.
I currently own a rescue Border Collie called Lucky, a rabbit called Luna and loan a pony called Smokey.
I offer a variety of services tailored to suit you and your pets needs and requirements. As a pet owner myself, I understand that when you have a busy lifestyle, work long hours or want to go on holiday one of your main concerns is to make sure that your pet is well taken care of. I offer a no obligation free consultation for you to decide whether you would like to use my services and if you do I will go through some forms with you to ensure that I have all the relevant details and information about you and your pets so you can relax knowing that your pets will be in safe hands.

Previous Experience

I have previously worked in a boarding kennels and cattery, volunteered as a dog walker with the Retired Greyhound trust and volunteered within a RSPCA rehoming centre.

Qualifications & Training

I have a level 1 work based diploma in animal care and am working towards a diploma in pet sitting and dog walking and pet first aid.

Other Services

Home Visits- Home visits are beneficial for elderly dogs or puppies in particular who may need letting out or need medication in the day time. Home visits will include letting the pet out to relieve themselves, feeding, medicating if required, providing fresh water and playtime and a short walk if required.
Cats will also benefit from home visits I pop into daily to feed your cats and replenish their water, groom them and give them lots of attention, fuss and play - these are all compulsory ingredients to ensure your cat is happy and content.
I will also:
• Wash food and water bowls
• Clean out litter trays
• Provide house care services including watering plants, opening blinds, taking out recycling and waste bins, picking up post and turning lights on and off.
I can also provide daily care for smaller animals including hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, rabbits, mice, chinchillas and fish. I will provide all the services above and clean out their hutch and cages.

Pet sitting- This is for people who may be out for a few hours in the day time or evening and may need me to come into their house and stay with their pet for a few hours to give him company and perhaps feed him and play with him and take him for a walk. Pet sitting is particularly useful for puppies and dogs that hate being left on their own and may suffer from separation anxiety. They will benefit as they will have me to give them one on one attention and play with them and make sure they are cared for and not distressed. Pet Sitting is a similar service to babysitting.

Dog Walking - At work all day? Attending a special event? Have your dog(s) walked in familiar surroundings by a friendly face.
So many people have busy lifestyles these days and just don't have the time to walk their pets so this is where a dog walker can come in useful. It is also beneficial for elderley people who can no longer take their dogs for the long walks that they need and for people who may have suffered an injury and need someone to help walk their dog while they are recovering. Dog walking is provided for a 30 minute, 45 minute or 60 minute duration and additional dogs from the same family will get a discount. All dogs are walked individually unless from the same family and no more than 4 dogs at a time. Dogs are walked on the lead unless written consent is given. On return home, dogs will be cleaned/towel dried and fresh water will be given.
