About Me/ Company

As a dog lover and a previous dog owner I understand that a dog is not only a pet but also a member of the family. So I appreciate that a dog owner needs to know that they can trust and rely on their dog walker, not only in the sense of looking after their dog but also with their home as I may be required to enter and leave their home when they are not in.
I am at ease with all dogs and have a basic understanding of dog’s social movements, leash skills and obedience training. On top of this I am efficient at picking up any necessary special requirements for each dog. As well as dog walking I also offer other services such for example feeding and watering, overnight sitting, taking out recycling or rubbish and cleaning.
As part of the service I provide examples of the routes that I take so you can chose which ones you would like. I also keep records of every dog’s walk, distance and timings so you know what you dog are up to. I am flexible with timings so am happy to work around you and your dog.

Previous Experience

I have a strong work ethic, which has enabled me to support myself through my studies. I have gained a wide range of skills and knowledge through working in a range of establishments including customer service skills, team management, organizational skills, time management skills and working with deadlines. I quickly pick up new ideas and am able to adapt to any given situation working to the best of my ability to provide an excellent service. I demonstrate a flexible can do attitude to challenging situations and react calmly to stressful situations and am able to work with the clients to gain the highest standard of professionalism with an easy going personality.
I have previous experience walking dogs for local business owners, the work force of a local hotel and friends.
My reasonability’s ranged depending on the client but the foundations are jobs such as insuring that the dog was tired when they got home so walks lasted on average 2-3 hours, insuring that water was left and food if instructed, cleaning up any mess, insuring that the dog was clean before leaving, time management, customer service, organization and building a relationship not only with the owner but the dogs as well.
Some of the dogs required special reasonability’s for example socializing with other dogs, practice with certain commands, special food allowances/types/times, day sitting and de-fleeing.

Qualifications & Training

As a degree I studied Outdoor Education because of my passion for the great outdoors. My main interests are rock climbing, sailing and mountain walking. I also have my Mountain leader ship training and am working towards my full qualification. This shows that I am physically able to walk for extensive periods of time and enjoy it which is very important for a job such as this.
I may not have any dog walking qualifications. But I have always been surrounded by dogs my whole life and have always had dog walking jobs for friends and family since I was 11. I am able to read dog’s body language, their moods and quickly form a trusting relationship with animals.
