About Me/ Company

I am a caring, bright and motivated individual that is looking to eventually start my own pet care business, so feel this is a good starting point.
I want to make an honest living, caring for animals and providing a high standard, reliable service so that I can make a good name for myself.

Previous Experience

I worked in an aquatic and reptile shop for 6 years, so have much experience of animal care and maintenance.
The college that I attended had its own animal unit, so the course enabled us to get lots of handling experience of a range of animals from rodents, to birds, reptiles, amphibians and farm animals.
For 4 weeks during college, I did work experience at a boarding kennel and cattery, which gave me an insight into the routines and procedures necessary to run the business and ensure the high standards of welfare were maintained.
I have been a house-sitter for friends previously, which involved being responsible for the house maintenance, plus the care of dogs, chickens and cats.
Finally, I have also been a dog owner previously and therefore have experience with commands, reading body language, as well as the general care required.

Qualifications & Training

In 2013 I graduated with a BSc Hons in Zoology from the University of Hull, achieving a high 2:1 grade.
Additionally, I have a BTEC National Diploma in Animal Management from the College of West Anglia.
All GCSEs A*-C grades.
