About Me/ Company
Hi, I’m Gemma the owner of Fairy-Dogmother, specialising in dog training, dog walking and dog sitting. I have a Foundation Degree in Canine Behaviour and Training and I also have a National Diploma of Animal Management (triple distinction).
I am based in the Bracknell area for dog walking and sitting and cover a 10 mile radius for my training.
Since a young age I have had a love for animals and it was very clear that I was going to pursue a career working with them. It wasn’t until college that I developed the bug for working with dogs that lead me to pursue my degree.
I strive to give the best advice at all times and not only can I help with training, but also nutrition, health checks and the best treats and training aids to use.
I believe that everyone who has interaction with the dog should partake in the training and I especially encourage families to let their children get involved. I’d love for them to learn body language and behaviour in dogs to not only get them to know how to behave properly around dogs but also to reduce the risk of dog bites.
The training techniques I use are all positive reinforcement because I want everyone to gain a strong human/dog relationship – we need to respect and enjoy them being in this world with us.
Previous Experience
I have been working with dogs for about 5 years. I worked in a veterinary surgery for when at school, worked in a local kennels and grooming parlour as well as having experience working in an intimate pet shop.

Dog Training
This takes place in the client's house and is one on one. They are hourly long sessions and the first consultation is free. I work with puppies, teaching them basic obedience, as well as older dogs and rescues with behaviour issues.
