About Me/ Company

I'm a 16 year old girl, just finished and looking for a job whilst I am at college studying. I have two dogs and a cat of my own, I enjoy walking and caring for my dogs and cat. I have previously had many different animals such as three rabbits, a chinchilla, hamster, pet rat and fish. I am capable of looking after myself, whilst caring for my animals and other peoples pets. I can care for more than one pet and other animals your household may have other than dogs. I have previously cared for several puppies and will be able to care for them when the owners are at work. I will be able to also look after elderly dogs, if this means sitting at home with them where they are most comfortable or taking them on short walks before tiring them out too much.

Previous Experience

I had a voluntary job in pet shop when I was about 10 years old. This work involved: cleaning cages of several types of animals, feeding the animals the right amount of food and the right food depending on the animal and size of the animal, washing and changing the water in fish tanks, making sure all the animals had fresh clean topped up water throughout the day, I would also re organise shelves and check the animals over to make sure the had no fleas or ticks, I helped rinse and wash the dogs which came into the shop.

I also learnt how to handle the animals correctly so that they were used to being held and played with when they were sold on to customers.

I am able to look after puppies as one of my dogs has previously had a litter of puppies, I was able to care for them by cleaning up after there mess, wipe their bottoms and I was able to train them so they were ready for there new homes.

Relevant Info

I have a lot of patient with dogs from them being puppies to elderly dogs. I have cared for many family pets. I am able to play with the dogs when walking them or just house sitting them and giving them a lot of fun whilst the owner is working, on a day out, holiday or is just unable to walk them.

I am in college three times a week, the days I am in college are Tuesdays, Thursday and Fridays. On Tuesdays and Fridays I am in college from 9:00am till 4:30pm, it takes my an hour to get home on the bus so I wouldn't be able to care and walk the dogs till after 6:30pm. Whereas on Thursdays I am only in college from 9:00am till 12:30pm, so will be able to care and look after dogs from 3:00pm onwards.

I am able to feed, clean and care for the animals if necessary and asked by the owners to do so. I can also care for other household animals the owners may have other than a dog.
