About Me/ Company
My name is Emma Giddings and I am in my second year of sixth form. I am applying to university to do a veterinary medicine course year as I have decided to take a gap year to gain more experience. I have recently completed a veterinary summer school at the Royal Veterinary College. This has strengthened my passion to become a veterinary surgeon. While at the summer school I discovered veterinary pathology which I have never considered as a potential career choice. This has opened up my mind to various options within the veterinary medicine field. As well as having a passion for animal welfare, I enjoy various sports. I play in my sixth form netball team and have been playing netball for four years. I also play basketball once a week and run on the weekends.
Previous Experience
I have previous experience working with a range of exotic animals in Paradise Wildlife Park and with farm animals at Stepney City Farm. During my time volunteering at the farm, I have performed many health checks with animals like guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens. I have also completed two weeks at Mudchute Farm stables and gained valuable knowledge on equine and their welfare.
