About Me/ Company

Hi my name is Emma

I have quite a varied amount of experience working with animals in particular domestic pets with a lot of handling with dogs of all sizes. I regularly look after friends pets when they're away including a Rottweiler Molly, a large crossbreed Ty, a German Shepherd Nala and Diesel the St Bernard. I currently work for a department store warehouse, but my ambition is to move into animal welfare - this is my passion!

I work early mornings so would be available to give suitable walks throughout the afternoon and evening.

Overnight sitting I would be very flexible with for any night of the week

Holiday sitting I can accommodate smaller dogs to stay at my home unfortunately I can not accommodate larger dogs at the moment and would usually offer to stay at your home, I am happy to make regular visits to the house if preferred if this is within a suitable distance.

If your dog was to stay with me I can guarantee that your dog would be happily cared for in a dog loving family home. There is always someone in the house during the morning until about 2pm and I usually get home about 4pm so your dog will not be left on their own for more than 2 hours.

I would take your dog/s for a decent walk in the morning, and for a good hours walk in the afternoon/evening spending some time to fuss/play etc with your pets. I would try to keep feeding to their usual routine as much as possible.

Previous Experience

The dogs I have grown up with have left me with some wonderful memories and have fuelled my love of dogs, these were Sam the Black Labrador and Truckee the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Both with very different personalities but both very lovable characters.

I have volunteered in several vet practices handling and looking after pets
I spent 12 months volunteering at an RSPCA animal hospital where I came into contact with a variety of dogs all sorts of breeds and all sorts of temperaments.
I spent 2 years helping out in the reptile house at West Midlands Safari Park, so I am experienced with exotic pets and would be happy to look after/clean/feed/handle these too.

Qualifications & Training

I have a degree in zoology which covered topics including animal welfare and behaviour.

I have CRB checks for previous jobs and I am looking at getting a new one.

Other Services

Since I was a young child I have kept hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs and I would be happy to look after these spending some time to handle them and give them some fuss. The same goes for reptiles and exotic animals.

I regularly look after my friends cats (she has 4) I would be happy to visit your house twice a day and feed/clean litter trays/fuss your moggies when you are away.

Finally I draw pet portraits and would be happy to show some of my work and discuss prices etc if anyone was interested.
