About Me/ Company

I am the owner and director of Duty-of-Care Pet Services UK. I have 16 years experience of teaching a range of animal-related topics at Further-Education colleges in Surrey (Nescot and Merrist Wood). I am fully insured, hold a current DBS Certificate (formerly CRB check), and am approved and registered with DEFRA.

We offer a range of pet-care services such as Home Visits and Feeding, Local Pet Taxi, Nationwide Transportation, Emergency Aid, Microchipping and a Pets-at-Rest Service, based in Mole Valley, and operating throughout Surrey.

We will transport your pet safely and securely in our professionally converted vehicle (named Dexter). We hold a Type 1 Animal Transporter Authorisation, issued by DEFRA (meeting UK and EU legislation). It is designed to cater for all pet species, and can transport several animals at once. It is fully ventilated and designed for maximum safety, security and comfort.

My qualifications and industry experience provide the ideal background and knowledge to take the very best care of your pet, with the highest standards of professionalism.

Previous Experience

I have taught Animal Behaviour, Advanced Animal Welfare, Animal Nutrition, Animal Feeding and Accommodation and Animal Handling. I have extensive knowledge and experience of a range of pet species, ranging from cats and dogs, to small mammals, to reptiles, to birds and fish.

I have conducted industry-updating at various establishments, including RSPCA Rehoming Centre and Hospital, Veterinary Surgeries, Veterinary Laboratories, Dog Groomers, Dog Trainer and Animal Behaviour Centre.

Relevant Info

We will transport your pet safely and securely in a professionally converted Animal Ambulance. We hold a Type 1 Animal Transporter Authorisation, issued by DEFRA (meeting UK and EU legislation). The vehicle is cleaned and sanitised thoroughly after each trip. The vehicle is maintained to the highest standards and we use up-to-date GPS technology to ensure we reach our destination in the quickest time possible.

Other Services

Pet Visits & Feeding - We are able to visit your pet at home to provide a range of care services. Maybe you have a new puppy which needs a midday visit. Or you have a cat requiring medication whist you are out. We can care for your pet(s) whilst you are on holiday or away from home (however, we are unable to offer overnight boarding/sitting for dogs). This service is stress-free for your pet(s) and convenient if you are a multi-pet household. Whilst you are away, we will also offer home-valet services giving your home a “lived-in” look and security checks.
Pet Taxi & Transportation - We are able to transport your pet to the vets, grooming parlour, puppy class, kennel/cattery, or anywhere your pet needs to go. Whether you are at work, do not have your own vehicle or would rather a professional pet-carer take on the responsibility, we can transport your pet professionally and safely. We can transport ANY species of pet.
Home-Visit Microchipping - We can visit your home to microchip your pet, with PetLog Registration.
PETS-AT-REST - We offer a unique service of managing your pets last journey, in association with Surrey Pet Cemetery. Let us take care of the collection, transportation and cremation. We can return your pets cremains to you personally within 24-48 hours.
