Our dog care service began in 1999 and was created to compliment an owner’s lifestyle with a regular daily routine for their dog to enjoy happy outings, proper exercise and training with carers with whom they can become familiar.

At dogknows we create positive relationships between dogs and their owners by providing dog care, walking and training services for dogs of all ages, so they get the best from life. We only work with dogs therefore can provide a customised service to each individual owner and dog.

The dogknows way

We only use kind, force free training methods by friendly and reliable carers. Your dog will have a customised care package to suit their needs and no more than four dogs are walked together at any one time, with each dog carefully chosen to walk with dogs to which they are compatible with.

We are fully insured and carers will be CRB checked

Previous Experience

Before opening dogknows Central South London, I worked in social care for 20 years supporting children and adults with physical/learning disabilities across various settings and roles. My last placement was managing a residential service for adults with profound learning disabilities including autism.
I have, therefore, developed excellent non-verbal and body language based communication skills. Hand signalling, especially, became vital as did remaining calm and collected at all times, traits needed for training dogs.
I decided to move into a different direction - working with dogs – where the skills from my earlier work life have proved invaluable. I have had dogs throughout my adult life and have always wanted to run my own business, so when the opportunity arose I jumped at the chance to start the Central South London branch of dogsknows.
